Aarhus Jazz Orchestra is seeking a 1st trumpet
Do you want to join a curious, innovative and award-winning big band? Aarhus Jazz Orchestra is looking for a new lead trumpet player to join the organisation.
Aarhus Jazz Orchestra is one of the leading big bands in Denmark and a significant cultural institution. With a special focus on jazz music and related genres, Aarhus Jazz Orchestra presents more than 100 concerts every year reaching 40.000 people. Working in Aarhus Jazz Orchestra means working alongside some of the best and most dedicated musicians in Denmark in a highly professional and accommodating organisation.
About the position
The position is a part time position with 410 hours equally distributed over the year.
The salary and terms of employment is determined by the collective agreement between Dansk Musiker Forbund (union) and Aarhus Jazz Orchestra.
The primary workplace is in Aarhus, Denmark. Concert activity outside Aarhus must be expected (also internationally).
Employees living more than 70 km from Aarhus will receive an allowance.
About the audition and application process
Application material (see below) and resume must be received before the 17th of March 2023.
Applicants who are considered qualified will be contacted by Aarhus Jazz Orchestra and will be offered to play selected projects during 2023. Hereafter the selected applicant will be offered the position from spring 2024.
The application proces is designed to avoid hidden biases as much as possible.
