Aarhus Jazz Orchestra is looking for a strong lead trombone player.
Aarhus Jazz Orchestra is one of the leading big bands in Denmark and a significant cultural institution. With a special focus on jazz music and related genres, Aarhus Jazz Orchestra presents more than 60 concerts every year, reaching around 40,000 people.

About the position
We are looking for a strong lead trombone trombone player who:
Is versatile in styles and comfortable in a variety of musical settings
Is collaborative and easy to work with, and wants to be part of a team
Is an experienced improviser and soloist
Employment terms
Part-time position with 40% of fulltime.
Salary and terms according to the collective agreement between Dansk Musiker Forbund and Aarhus Jazz Orchestra.
The primary workplace is in Aarhus, Denmark. Concert activity outside Aarhus must be expected (also internationally)
Employees living more than 70 km from Aarhus are eligible for an allowance.
About the audition and application process
Audio recordings and a short resume must be submitted no later than January 18th
Qualified applicants may be invited to play selected projects with the orchestra.
Following this process, the selected applicant will be offered the position.
